OBJECTIVES

The purpose of this course is as follows:

i. to increase participants' awareness of disaster response.

ii. to expose the most recent discoveries, skills, and knowledge in in the field of disaster management.

iii. to provide training to participants from various backgrounds in coordinating disaster management in the presence of multiple agencies.

iv. to test existing SOPs, communication flows, and disaster action plans at the agency level in the event of a disaster.

v. to enhance the preparedness of medical personnel, NGOs, and disaster management agencies in the face of disasters in terms of medical assistance, emergency assistance, and communication.
